Breaking News from our Development Officer, Jeremy Osborne
Sporty Rock Under 14's Representative Fixture on the South Coast

The FSC zone has recently been given the opportunity to host a junior representative match. The Game will be played between The Brumbies u 14 provincial side (which includes kids from Canberra, Southern Inland and the FSC) and the Victorian u 14 state side.

In conjunction with this match the zone will be selecting an u14 FSC rep side to play against Southern Inland u 14s on the same day. This will provide a great opportunity for players in this age group to represent the Junior Marlins with passion and pride whilst playing rugby at a higher level in front of a home crowd.

Email Mark Berry for more information

Inter High Schools Selection Trials
The match will be taking place during September which allows time to pick a quality side from inter school matches currently being scheduled and possibly a gala day which will give interested players the chance to stake their claim for selection.

Two sides will be picked following these inter school matches and gala days to represent the north and south ends of our zone. The two teams will then play each other for selection in the combined FSC representative side to play Southern Inland.

This will not only give a large number of kids the opportunity to participate in the inter-school matches and the North v South Coast trial, but also enable us to field the very strongest team possible to take on Southern Inland in this important fixture.

Email Jeremy Osborne for details of the Inter-schools trilas

Moruya High Fund-Raiser for Camp Quality
Congratulations to Andrew Edmunds and the organisers at Moruya High for their excellent fundraiser last Tuesday.

The school raised over $600 for camp quality with students paying $1 to get out of class and attend a students v teachers Walla rugby match followed by a very spirited and tight clash between the Yr 11 and 12 students. What a great way to introduce new people to our game whilst raising money for a great cause. For the record the students beat the teachers.

Primary Schools Gala Day at Narooma, Thurs Sept 1st
The southern primary schools of the FSC zone will get their opportunity to "give Rugby a try", on Sept 1st when Narooma will host a gala day involving students in years 3,4,5 and 6 from as far south as Eden and north to Moruya.

Coinciding with these gala days are school visits in which students are also gaining the experience of participating in some form of modified rugby. All schools in the zone have been approached with many taking up the opportunity to introduce their students to rugby.

Email Jeremy Osborne for more details
